Just bumping this - It would be good to understand whether this functionality will be enabled (given that shortcut labs wrote the linux driver, and all the functionality should be there already???), or whether the flics and flic hub remains locked down and hence way less useful.

Hub Flicd open to remote servers
Hi All,
I have been playing with the Openhab2 binding for flic buttons by Patrick Fink (https://github.com/pfink/openhab2-flicbutton/releases), and was wanting to test/use this with the hub. I presume that the hub, being linux is running the flicd, but as it is not talking to anything, that this is configured to only talk to the local host.
In order for the Openhab2 binding to work, it would be great to have a way to configure the flicd to open up to a remote host.
Any options?
Cheers,

RE: Running custom apps on the Flic Hub
I know this is slightly tangential to the original post, but I would like to access greater functionality, not so much by running things on the hub, but via the flicd-bridge, which I presume is running on the linux host in the hub. I use Openhab, and the Openhab binding for flic can talk to a remote linux host via the bridge. However, the bridge needs to be configured to allow it to talk outside the local host, which again I presume is locked down to the hub.
Having this able to be configured via the mobile app, or an ssh session would be great.
