Flic App Android 14 – Cannot Save Text Message / Share Location Actions
-
Hello,
I'm experiencing an issue with the Flic App on Android and would like to report a possible bug. Maybe someone knows the solution?Setup:
Device: Android 14 (smartphone ASUS ROG6)
App version: Flic App 4.0.16
Flic button connected directly to the phone (no Hub)Problem:
I am unable to configure actions that involve phone numbers:
“Text Message” action cannot be saved
“Share Location” action cannot be saved
The “Receivers” field does not open the contacts list
Manually entering a phone number (in international format, e.g. +48XXXXXXXXX) also does not workWhat I have already tried:
- Reinstalling the app
- Clearing cache
- Granting ALL permissions (Contacts, SMS, Location, Bluetooth, System... etc.)
- Ensuring the button is connected directly to the phone
None of the above resolved the issue.
Other types of actions (non-SMS) seem to work correctly, so the problem appears specific to actions requiring phone numbers.
Could you please confirm:
Whether this is a known issue in version 4.0.16 ?
If there is a workaround?
If a fix is planned?Thank you for your support.
Best regards,
Pablo -
@Emil I GOT IT, IT WORKS
Thank you. I reinstalled it, and now it's adding numbers. Something was wrong, there was some kind of blockage, the frame around the number field was shaking and wouldn't accept the number. Now it's OK. -
@Pablo I cannot reproduce this.
With App version 4.0.16, I do this:
- Add a Text message action.
- In the "Receivers" field, select a country code (e.g. Sverige +46).
- After +46, write the rest of the phone number, like 701234567. The whole field then contains the swedish flag, followed by +46701234567.
- Press the plus button at the rightmost edge of the field.
- The phone number will now be added below and the Receivers field will be cleared.
- Repeat step 2-5 how many times you wish, if you need multiple receivers.
- Enter something in the body.
- Press the floppy disk icon in the upper right corner to save.
If you can't make above work, please take a screenshot or video and post it so we can take a look at it.

@Emil Yes. Unfortunately, the "+" button does not trigger an auction, does not show contacts, and deletes the manually entered number.

@Pablo there is no known issue. Have you pressed the + button on the right to actually add the entered number as a recipient?
