flic button 2 not working after battery change
-
hi* after changing the battery in two flic 2 buttons both show this strange behaviour: they connect and work but after a very short time (< 1min.) they disconnect and are shown as "standby"in the app and no light shows up in the button when pressed.. - removing and reinsering the battery results in the same behaviour again..
What can I do.. -
@Emil: hello Emil.. I am sorry for coming back with all my strange problems..
Now: In the app settings on my Android-phone sorrily I can't find a "Submit debug log"..But: There seems to be a strange time-delay between changing something at the Buttons and the change taking effect or showing up:
- The one I wrote about yesterday misteriously disconnecting after some seconds now over night suddenly stays connected and works fine.. (Lights up green when pressed)
- The other one which worked yesterday I altered to Universal mode today to emulate a keyboard key.. - First it seemed to not accept the "store and disconnect"-action.. - It was not possible to connect it via Bluetooth to a laptop (..did not show up in the BT-list after pressing..).. - But after letting it alone for some hours it suddenly works as HID.. (blinking 2 times yellow when pressed)..
I would be happy to understand what is going on here..
Thank you for your patience
Best greetings
Jörn

@Emil : what I forgot to mention: sometimes after inserting the battery in the malfunctioning flic-button after pressing the button the LED stays dimly lit (yellow)..

@zauberwelt You connect directly to a phone, no Flic Hub, right?
Please go to app settings and press Submit debug log shortly after you try to press the button and nothing happens (it should pulsate orange at this time) and we can take a look. -
@Emil : Thank you for the information about battery voltage levels.. - that is a valid point.. - I got better 2032s now: 3,1 V out of package.. - One of my flics works fine now.. - But the other one still acts strange: I put in a new battery. - flic's LED shows a short red blink. - If I then press the button, it connects to the telephone. - But after some seconds it disconnects and when I press the button, nothimg happens.. - ..after taking out and reinserting the battery it shows the same bahaviour.. -- maybe broken?
..strange.. - could possibly a reset be helpful? -
@zauberwelt if the battery is brand new and only has 2.65 V, then it's almost dead and you should return it and get your money back. New fresh batteries typically have 3.1 V and stay high for a long time until they reach end of life at which point the voltage quickly drops.
Before we ship out Flic 2 from the factory, we always measure the battery and verify that it has at least 3 V.

@Emil Hello and thank you for your reply.. - I measured the batteries: one has 2,96 V, the other one 2,65 V.. - Both batteries were fresh out of the package.. - Strange: after some days of not working at all the one with the higher voltage battery now works after reinserting the battery..
I use the flic for triggering audio-cues during my magic-shows and I liked it very much for its reliability. - I would be very glad to regain this status.. -

What can I do..Do you have a voltmeter so that you can measure the level?
