How to change flic 2 battery?
-
Flic 2 will not twist apart to change battery. The adhesive gives way before it opens. HELP!

Glad I found this thread! My flics have been dying a slow death as I could never get the #@$%$@! battery cover open despite how easy it is on YouTube I have the Clip accessory but could not for the life of me still get the battery cover open with it. So I used the scissor method (counter-clockwise turn) and that worked, but I almost sliced open my thumb as I was going through all my flics replacing the batteries … be careful with this method! Probably why they don’t even mention it as a solution, but it’s the only solution working for me. Be careful out there! Oh … and Function over Form please, and thank you! -

I too had to resort to the scissor (or needle-nose pliers) trick on my Flic 2's to get them open. I'm not sure if this is a manufacturing tolerance problem or something else, but none of mine have come open "easily" as depicted in the documentation/videos. -
If the adhesive does not work for some reason then if you have the Clip accessory then the Clip can be used to open the battery hatch using the two slots on the backside. There is another trick but requires some extra care, I should mention that this is not a recommended method. You can use a scissor and place it in the two slots on the backside and turn counter clockwise.

Indeed, it should be possible, but I could not open the device either. So after a (short) batterylife their ready for the trashcan...
Most likely you'll get no answer from flic either...
