Flic as a confirmation that pills were taken? Need Assistance is setting this up!

My 85 year old mother is determined to 'age in place' in her small cottage (I understand this completely). I have an alarm set on her phone for 8:00a and 8:00p for her to take her morning and evening pills. If she doesn't dismiss it, it snoozes for 5 minutes and goes off a second and third time. And then it is done. That's just the standard alarm we have set on her android phone.
Unfortunately, just recently, she has taken to dismissing the alarm on the way to the kitchen where her pill box is and then gets distracted and forgets to take the pills. She tells herself not to dismiss it until AFTER she has taken them, but...
What I would like to do is have the alarm (sound/popup) CONTINUE to occur every 10 minutes - until she presses the Flic that is beside the pill case. That action would be the 'true' alarm dismissal.
Additionally... if, after 30 minutes, she has NOT pressed the Flic button, a text message would be sent to me so that I could give her a call and make sure she is ok and takes them.
Thoughts on how to go about this? I am techy, so given reasonable guidance I should be able to make this happen...
UPDATE: Thinking this through... I believe another action would be for her 'on the go Flic' that she has clipped to her purse. On long press it would 'snooze' the pill alarm for 60 minutes. So if she is away from the house (out to dinner, for example) it wouldn't continue to go off every 10 minutes but would still keep reminding until she is back home and takes the pills.

I'm thinking her 'travel Flic' that she has clipped to her purse could be set so that long press would 'snooze' the pill alarm for 60 minutes. So if she is away from the house it wouldn't continue to go off every 10 minutes but would still keep reminding until she is back home and takes the pills.
