Giving feedback to the users via button about single/double/hold press

Is there a way we could notify the user about the type of button click action performed. Currently, the app plays a sound associated with the press on the phone. But what if I don't have my phone nearby. How do I know what type of button press I performed? How would I differentiate between a single click and hold? Is there a way where we could glow the button or let it vibrate depending on the click type?

We don't have any vibrator inside the Flic. I'm not sure how wanted it is to have the Flic light up in different patterns when disconnected depending on click type...
