I’ve officially entered the future of ai productivity, and it starts with a simple button.

Thanks to direct HTTP requests wired into my n8n server, I can now use this compact little button to trigger fully customized automations on demand. Imagine the power of IFTTT or Zapier, but supercharged with total flexibility, no subscription lock-in, and full control. Now layer in Kimi AI and Moonshot to give it brains, and suddenly we’re talking about real-time, AI-enabled workflows running through clean API calls for fractions of pennies on the dollar.

I picked up the 3-button + Hub kit, and things escalated quickly. The moment it arrived, I started building out integrations. What I wanted, more than anything, was a physical way to toggle Conversation Mode on and off without unlocking my phone or tapping through menus. Just one press. Whether clipped to a keychain, snapped to a belt loop, or finally making use of that tiny jeans pocket above the front one that no one knows what to do with, the button would give me instant, seamless access.

Here's the magic: while ChatGPT still hasn’t figured out true fluidity in Conversation Mode, I found a workaround. By swapping in Perplexity instead of Google Voice using the same integration path, I now get something even better. Perplexity starts actively listening the moment I trigger it, then shifts into push-to-talk so I can ask my question naturally, with my phone still tucked away and a single earbud in my ear. It feels like whispering commands into the air and having your own private AI actually respond, without the awkward setup, interrupted conversations due to noise, conversation mode feature timing out, or battery drain of a full-blown assistant app.

This is not just a novelty. This is the beginning of a low-cost, high-impact control interface for personal AI. A button that listens. A voice that answers. Logic that flows. And it’s all mine to customize.

I am waiting for my Kickstarter Loomos AI Smart glasses to arrive and I plan 🤞 to program a feature to control the camera and other aspects. More to come!
