Unexpected Scene Activation Issue - Scene Blender.
-
Hi Guys,
I need your help to resolve a strange issue I'm experiencing.
I use the scene blender option to trigger various Alexa routines at different times.
I have set different Alexa routines to activate at 12 o'clock, 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock, and 9 o'clock.
The problem is, if I set it to 6 o'clock, not only does the 6 o'clock routine trigger, but the 3 o'clock one does as well. Similarly, if I start at 12 o'clock and go to 9 o'clock, both the 3 o'clock and 6 o'clock routines get triggered. I'm unsure how to activate the desired scene without unintentionally triggering the previous ones.
This issue is quite frustrating, and I would appreciate any assistance.

@Emil thanks for the clarification. Yes you are right, for my purpose, scene blender is not the right choice instead I should use selecter.
Many thanks

@saurabhtyagi2507 Maybe there is a misunderstanding how the scene blender works. If you start at 12 o'clock and starting to move the twist clockwise, then when you pass 3, then 3 will be triggered and when you pass 6, 6 will be triggered and when you arrive at 9 and stop, then 9 will be triggered.
Maybe what you want is instead the Selector mode. In selector mode, you can configure up to 12 different positions to have their own set of functionality (twist, push and double push). Selector mode is added by adding it to Push twist in the main configuration. In your case you would then e.g. assign some Alexa routine for Push at 6 o'clock and some other at e.g. 9 o'clock. To use it, you push-twist to the desired position, release, and then push the button.

@Emil Emil thanks for your prompt response. Really appreciate that.
It happens every time. I checked in Alexa and I don't have duplicate routines. I have separate routines for each scene. But not sure why it is happening.
When I want to go to 6 o'clock and as soon as I pass by 3 o'clock it triggers. Same happens when I go to to 9 and pass by 3 and 6, they both get triggered.Happy to talk you personally but please help to resolve this issue

@saurabhtyagi2507 I tried to reproduce the problem but couldn't. Does this happen every time or just sometimes? Could you maybe check the "activity" log in Alexa and see if you potentially have duplicate routines or something that triggered the other actions?
