Flic constantly in standby
-
Hi,
I have two flic buttons which are constantly in standby. This happens no matter how close to my flic hub they are or how new the battery is. What gives? And how do I stop this from happening?

@nb525 it should not matter or not if the button is "standby" or not. When you press the button, it should connect immediately and deliver its button event. If not, make sure you don't have too many active Bluetooth connections on your phone.

I would also like to know why all my Flic 2 buttons go into standby? Ive looked into all the forums.
I have 4 and use them to control lights, they are pretty much pointless if you have to stand there and keep pressing the button -
@Emil I sometimes get two red blinks. I agree that usually the Flic connects, but not every time. Is there a reason a Flic disconnects from the hub?

@Emil how long does a button need to sit idle before it disconnects? The three of six buttons I use most regularly are the ones doing this. Two of the three are also the very close to the hub... Out of curiosity, does connecting the hub to the router directly work better than using it over wifi?

This just means the Flic is not connected. But it should connect as soon as you press the button. If the button does not connect, you need to tell if the LED on the Flic is lighting up or not when it's pressed, and if so with what colour and what pattern.

@robert-flook I'm having the same issue and can't find any help anywhere.
@Emil is there any guidance? I've only had these (6) for a couple of months and can't imagine it's a battery issue. I've tried restarting the hub, but that didn't solve anything.
