I've been using an ancient iPhone 4 as my flic "hub" for years. but it's time to update it so i can use siri, so i got a brand new iPod Touch.

i backed up the iPhone 4, decommissioned it, then did a "restore" on the iPod.

Everything looks great inside the Flic app, i see all my buttons and all their actions have been restored.

However, the flic buttons themselves won't connect.

can i re-connect them, re-pair them, and have them resume all their programmed functions?

I have about a dozen flic switches, each with LOTS of programmed actions. It would be a herculean task to re-program all that from scratch.

is what i'm doing supposed to work? if not, why IN THE WORLD not???

@me the pairing is bound to the Bluetooth identity of the old phone. You can't just copy the app data to another phone. You will need to remove the button and add it again.

i have tried that to no avail.

I have also tried just "add flic to phone" just to get the thing paired, but whenever it starts "connecting...", the circular progress bar gets to about 80% around, then says "the connection timed out" etc.

i have contacted support, and asked for help, but they are simply not responding

I can't test this as I am can't exactly replicate this situation, but if you open the Flic app on the new iPod, go to the button and click the Gear icon in the upper right corner. From the menu that comes up you should have a Connect, Disconnect, and Delete option.

What happens when you try to Connect?
