Can’t connect to ikea gateway with iphone/ipad
-
I’m having issues to connecting to the ikea tradfri gateway with ios. It finds the gateway and when i enter the security code (yes i’ve made sure it’s correct, i scanned the qr code and copied the code) it says that it cannot validate.
I’ve tried it with my ipad as well. My friends android phone could connect to it though.
Is this a bug that will be fixed for the ios app?
Best regards,

Hello again. It turns out that this was in fact an issue introduced with iOS 13. This has now been fixed and will be released new week. Sorry for the inconvenience

Ok, emergency over. I finally got it connected with the hub, and that’s good enough. Just iOS not working then.

I’m having the same problem. I had it connected but changed my router and the flic-IKEA connection stopped working. Thought I’d just remove and reconnect; that was a big mistake. Security code hasn’t been accepted for three days now and I rely on this for all my lighting, so you can imagine the inconvenience...

IKEA gateways are notorious for being difficult to pair sometimes. For whatever reason it sometimes will not allow a security code, but if you wait a while and try again it will work. We have not been able to figure out why this happens.
Additionally, the gateway uses MDNS for network discovery and sometimes it can take a few scans for it to appear in the list.
Sorry about this.

I have the exact same problem. It works with the Hub but not with iPhone/iPad.
