With the new Matter update, I'm in fact using a flic button as a doorbell button, together with Home assistant. It's working great with the Matterbridge addon, and a Boolean helper that's visible in the Flic app.

@john-j-baumbach FYI: this was fixed in the Apr 2 2024 release of the Android app. Button works again!

Flic => HTTP request => Shelly

You should be able to send a HTTP request to the shelly with your flic. A bit of googling (or ChatGPT) should give you the appropriate payload.

I am not sure if Shelly accepts a "toggle" command, if not you may need a click for on and double click for off.

You can use Flic Universal to configure the Flic button to act as a Bluetooth keyboard and program different key combinations to be triggered when you press it.

I'm thinking her 'travel Flic' that she has clipped to her purse could be set so that long press would 'snooze' the pill alarm for 60 minutes. So if she is away from the house it wouldn't continue to go off every 10 minutes but would still keep reminding until she is back home and takes the pills.
